Welcome to where your journey of the Great Ocean Road begins.
Bells Beach Backpackers is your home away from home on your travels of Australia - a rustic, old surf house situated in the 'Surf Capital of Australia', also known as: Torquay.
Our comfy home has fantastic sleeping choices offering guests mixed dorm rooms of 4, and 6 and one exclusive private room with a queen bed.
No matter where you decide to sleep, our rooms have fully made beds with lockers to secure your most important items.
Our clean and fully-equipped kitchen is more than adequate for the Gourmet Chef. Located adjacent is our lounge room, which includes a widescreen television, games and a book-exchange library.
Outdoors you will find a large garden perfect for kicking back or cooking up a feast on the BBQ!
And if you are in need of a little sense of home you can have all the cuddles you could want from Bella; our loving black Labrador. (@bella.bellsbeachbackpackers)
Hire a surfboard from us and walk 10 minutes to Torquay Surf Beach or if you'd prefer to just look like a pro surfer, walk 2 minutes to the surf shop plaza where you'll find all the major surf brands. Everyone knows that backpackers love a bargain, and there's plenty to be found just around the corner at the Ripcurl and Quicksilver factory outlets! Just ask us where that little gem is.
Bells Beach is in located just 10 minutes' drive away from Torquay, in a national park area that contains some of the most beautiful walking tracks from Torquay to Bells Beach. Famous for the amazing surf and host to the famous Rip Curl Pro surfing competition. Although, you may want to tell your friends you've surfed Bells’, this is only advisable if you are an experienced surfer!
Perhaps while you are here you may wish to book in for a little Yoga session. We have mats for hire or purchase.
If you're just visiting for a few days or want to get a job to fund your travels, Bells Beach Backpackers will be your home away from home and we'll ensure you have a great time in this wonderful part of Victoria!
OUR ROOMS
Our Vanpacking option is great for travelers who have hired a van for the week, wanting to sleep in it, stay within their budget, have their own space but still meet others.
Stay with us from $26 and you'll also be able to use our amenities such as the kitchen, bathroom, laundry and more.
We have ample parking spots ready and waiting for you.
FACILITIES
KITCHEN
The kitchen is equipped with a large Fridge, 5 gas burner stove top with oven, microwave, kettle, toaster and all the usual kitchen dining equipment e.g. cups plates etc. There is plenty of storage available in the cupboards and fridge, with as much free tea and coffee as you can get your hands on.
OUTDOOR AREAS
Our outdoor area is perfect for eating and socialising with a large undercover seating area and fire-pit. The areas hold approx. 25 people, so you’re in no danger of running out of space. The undercover area has a large BBQ space, bench tops, washing up facilities and plenty of cutlery and crockery.
CARPARK
The front and back car-parks on our premises fit securely many different kinds of vehicles. Whether they're bikes, cars, vans or moderate-sized camper-vans, you're welcome here.
LAUNDRY
Come and use our laundry facilities between 12 pm and 10pm. For a tidy $4 a wash and $2 for a dry, your laundry will be done in no time.
LOUNGE
Within our lounge area you'll find everything you need to get comfy; great couches, cushions and a big television. If vegging' on the couch isn't for you we also have many board games and an exchange-library packed with books.
BATHROOMS
We are proud to offer bathrooms which are not only spacious, but also exceptionally clean and have great, hot & high-pressured water for your showers.
